Horseshoe Canyon Ranch - No climb

Well, I've finally made it back to the big town of Oklahoma City after about a week on the road playing. If you follow, you know that I made a first stop at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch on the way out last week for a little climbing with the boys. I also shot some work for the Ranch one evening. Then on to Lake of the Ozarks for some fun with friends and family. And back to the Ranch on Monday with Nicki for some climbing and a little bit of work.

As I said previously, the Ranch is in the process of revamping their website and decided that Tuesday morning we would bring out the guns (not real guns) and produce some visual candy for potential clients and visitors to this place. You and I mostly know of HCR as a climbing destination for the region, however this is one impressive dude ranch that offers full value family vacations. If you haven't been here to climb AND vacation, you are sorely missing out.

5 little studs

I spent 4 days at Lake of the Ozarks over the 4th of July holiday. More on that to come (and more photos on the entire road trip as well). But I got the chance to shoot some wild stud boys over the weekend. It was hard to keep them all straight..... let's see, they are the son's of two moms who are sisters and twins. So some are brothers, and some are cousins. I'm confused. Regardless, they are gonna drive the ladies crazy when they grow up.

Back to Horseshoe Canyon Ranch (my second home)

Admittedly, I've slacked back quite a bit on the blog front over the last couple of weeks. Many things on the mind, but lacking the desire to put them to the keyboard.

I'm relaxing at Lake of the Ozarks here in Missouri on the 3rd of July at my sister's place on the lake. The past couple of weeks have been good. Good business. Staying busy. Enjoying the freedom that comes along with working for myself.

But it's time to start writing and posting a bit more.

Wednesday evening I met Jeremy Collins and Jesse Gross, two buddies from Kansas City, at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch for a bit of climbing on the steep sandstone in the canyon. This is where I put on my annual 24 Hours of Horseshoe Hell event, and it was nice to get back to visit the place and to see Barry and all the people at the ranch.

Although the trip was short, we had a killer time and I even found some time to shoot some portrait work, some climbing, and even some ranch photos for Barry, who is working on revamping the Ranch's website.

The next couple of days holds wakeboarding, eating, hanging, and some pedaling. I'll check in later.
